Obituary

BANKS, Kevin Malcom - 55yrs of Kingston, NS passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Alton "Ted" and Verna "Tood" (Stronach) Banks. Kevin worked for G.W. Sampson, CFB Greenwood and Paragon Golf and Country Club. He was a former member of the Kingston District Fire Department, Kingston Legion Branch #098, Paragon Golf Club, and the Middleton Curling Club. His life was centered around family and friends and his love of sports. He was a NS Champion in Little League Baseball-NS and Maritime Champion Bantam "A" Bombers (hockey) and NS Legion Dart Doubles Champion and Paragon Golf Club, Club Champion and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by brothers Glenn, Kingston; twin Erwin (Tamela), Nictaux; Graham (Wendy), Wilmot; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister Lynda. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00PM Saturday, 11, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Kingston District Fire Department, Kingston Legion Branch #098, Paragon Golf and Country Club or charity of your choice.
