BOWE, Kevin Joseph – age 78, Auburn, Kings Co., passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in St. John's, Nfld., he was a son of the late Roache and Stella (Raymond) Bowe. Kevin was a proud Newfoundlander and was always telling folks that he was from "The Goulds". He was a devoted, loyal fan of both the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays and always followed news & current events. He loved watching old Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts & The Best of Johnny Carson DVDs, especially at Christmas. Kevin owned and operated Bowe's Janitorial Services for many years. He was devoted to his family, friends and business associates and will be sadly missed by his beloved grand dog, J.R. Surviving are his wife, Darlene C. (Saunders) Bowe; son, Darrin, Auburn; daughter, Vicki, Halifax; brothers, Bob (Diane), Innisfil, Ont.; Billy, Toronto, Ont.; sisters, Floss McLeod, Jane Stanley, both of St. John's Nfld.; Bernice (Robert) Doyle, Petty Harbour, Nfld.; sisters-in-law, Beatrice (Gene) Irvin, Auburn; Beverley Baltzer, Port Williams; several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Clara, Rita, Laura and Marcie; brothers, Rodger, John and Dave, father and mother-in-law, Vic & Kay Saunders. Visitation will take place from 4-6 p.m., Sunday in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448, from where a Celebration of Life will take place from 2-4 p.m., Monday, November 16, with Prayers and Remarks at 3 p.m., with Rev. Marilyn Rose presiding. Cremation will follow with Interment in Newfoundland at a later date.
