Kriemhilde Elise Chemij nee Griesser (1930-2014) age 84, daughter of Adam and Louise born 12 January 1930, in Bensheim-Auerbach, Germany passed away peacefully at the Gables and Gardens Manor in Middleton, Nova Scotia on the 18 July, 2014. Since coming to Canada in 1952, she has worked and lived in Ottawa and Prince Rupert, B.C. Married to Wasyl Chemij (predeceased), she raised two children, her daughter Ingrid Thompson nee Chemij (pre-deceased) and her son Roger Chemij. She was pre-deceased by four siblings of a family of six, Peter a brother, and sisters, Elizabeth, Margot and Anneliese all from Germany. She is survived by her sister, Hannalore Lauber of Ottawa, Ontario, her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sabine Chemij of Middleton, Nova Scotia, and her grandson and his wife, Jason and Tamara Chemij of North York, Ontario. As for her wishes, cremation has taken place. No remembrance service is planned. She will be missed and remembered by all who knew her.
