SABEAN, Lamont "Ralph" ~ Age 78, of Berwick, Kings Co., N.S., passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on April 26, 1947, in Annapolis Royal, he was a son of the late Lawrence R. and Olive V. (O'Neil) Sabean. Ralph had attended Lockeport Elementary, Lockeport Regional High, Central Kings Rural High, Berwick High and Kings County Vocational Schools. He had worked at Larsens Packers, Berwick for a short time, Berwick Bakery as a purchasing agent, M.W. Graves, Berwick, P.M. Supplies in Woodville and his last 20 years of work was at Ronald Reeves Accounting, Berwick. Ralph enjoyed music the most. At age nine, he was in a singing contest for ages nine and under and won with the highest score for all of Nova Scotia. His favourite singer was George Jones. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, the former Evelyn E. Reeves; daughter, Carrie (Steve) Tracy; grandchildren, Julia and Owen Dykens, Mackenzie and Dustin Caldwell; cousins, Peg Ellis, Steve MacDonald, Brian and Trudy Broughm; Rosalyn Broughm; brothers-in-law, Harold (Ruth) and Henry (Frances) Reeves; sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Linda Reeves; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Gary Sabean; aunts, Violet (Arthur) Broughm; Eileen (Bert) MacDonald; cousins, Roger Ellis and Joan MacDonald; in-laws, Ronald, Leon (Patricia), Betty and Walter Reeves; Shirley (Leroy) Connors. Visitation will take place from 1-3 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, in Cambridge Cemetery, 5981 Highway 1, Cambridge, with Rev. Andrew Conrad officiating. Family flowers only, donations in his memory may be made to Berwick Baptist Church, Cambridge Baptist Church or to a charity of ones choice.
