CAREY, LaVerne Howard - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of LaVerne Carey of Millet, AB formerly of Springfield, NS at the age of 67 years. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Sullivan; daughters, Melissa Carey, Dianne Carey (Jo Remedios); step-daughters, Jenelle and Tammy Goulding; grandchildren, Benjamin Carey, Alexandra Remedios, Jordan Carey and step-granddaughter, Shylo Goulding; mother, Frances (Turner) Carey; brothers, Glenn (Bernadette) Carey, Robert (Brigid) Carey, Wayne (Gail) Carey, Wendell (Bunny) Carey, sisters, Bernice (Robert) Corkum, Joan (Waldon) Banks, Valerie Carey (Gerald Ryerson), Linda (William) Reese, Bonnah Carey, Debra Carey and former wife Helen (Robar) Woodsworth. LaVerne is predeceased by his father Howard Glenn Carey. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of LaVerne's Life was held on Monday, June 4, 2012 at Baker Funeral Chapel in Wetaskiwin as well as a Memorial Service 2:00PM Saturday, June 9, 2012 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 with Rev. David Phillips officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery.
