Hatt, Lawrence Harold – Age 79 of South Farmington, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, he was a son of the late Freeman and Aleph (Simpson) Hatt.

Lawrence will be remembered as a kind, helpful and generous person who was always willing to help anyone in need, especially if they were having any engine problems. By trade he was a mechanic. He worked at Evangeline Motors for over 20 years. He then operated his own repair shop in South Farmington. Lawrence liked canoeing, cross-country skiing, fishing and snowmobiling. He listened to Cape Breton music. He always enjoyed travelling and meeting new people. His travels took him to Australia, 18 trips to Yukon, many visits to Cape Breton & to numerous historical sites and villages across Canada. He admired Winston Churchill and especially enjoyed reading his books.

Lawrence is survived by brothers, Stephen (June), Ontario, Cyril, South Farmington; sister, Janet (Roswitha), Nictaux Falls; three nephews.

Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place in Wiswall Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of the VON and Valley Regional Hospital for their special care shown to Lawrence.
