Martin, Lawrence Joseph – Age 83 of Aylesford, passed away peacefully Monday August 5, 2024, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. He was the eldest son of the late Lawrence Robert and Nellie Mae (Woods) Martin (of Liverpool). A proud retired member of the Canadian Military for 32 years.  Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Shirley, formerly Elizabeth Shirley Dearlove of Reading England; son, Robert (Claudine) Martin; daughters, Tracey Martin, South Alton; Tina (David) Hurst, Aylesford, NS; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Constance.   He was predeceased by his mother Nellie, father, Lawrence and brother Roger Howard Martin of Liverpool, NS.  Loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who loved joking with family and telling his hunting and fishing stories. He is now in heaven teaching Julia Child how to cook. HA HA. There are no services at this time as per Lawrence's wishes. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
