BURNS, Leander Douglas - 71 of Tremont, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Kingston, NS, he was a son of the late Harold and Jean (Arenburg) Burns. He is survived by his wife the former Audrey "Sandra" Banks. Daughter Sherry Burns (Brian), Eastern Passage; son Stewart (Cindy), Tremont, NS; granddaughters Lindsay, Natalie and Miranda. Sisters Dorothy Jones, Aylesford and Ada (Pat) MacLaughlin, Greenwood; brother Leroy (Bernadette) Burns, Ward Road; several nieces & nephews. In keeping with Leander's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.
