McLaughlin, Lee Irene-64 of Kingston passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton she was a daughter of the late Austin and Doris (Stevenson) McLaughlin. Lee was formerly employed at Lawton's Drug Store, Middleton. She was an avid reader, enjoyed the outdoors and dearly loved her grandchildren. Lee is survived by her daughter, Shelley McLaughlin, Middleton; sister, Audrey (Gordon) Spidle, Berwick; brothers, Warren (Olive), Forest Glade; Graham (Marg), Newcastle, NB; Dean (Audrey), Lethbridge, AB; Eric (Wenda), Margaretsville; grandchildren, Morgan and MacKenzie Bezanson; several nieces and nephews and good friend, George McGuire. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Gail Churney. By Lee's request cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Bayview Cemetery, Margaretsville. The family would like to give thanks to the staff on Medical B, Valley Regional Hospital for the care and compassion given to Lee in her final days.
