Brown, Leota "Marguerite" – Age 89 of Middleton passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Margaret (Morse) Lightfoot.
Marguerite was one of the longest standing members of the Melvern Square United Baptist Church. She was an auxiliary member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 98, Kingston. Marguerite loved going to family gatherings and enjoyed exhibitions and playing bingo. She will be fondly remembered for her chocolate bar drawer.
Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Pat (Darrell) Walker, Wilmot; sons, Peter (Audrey) Brown, Wilmot, Ivan (Linda) Brown, Riverport, Tim (Janet) Brown, Wilmot, Charles (Pam) Brown, Port George, adopted, special son, Roland O'Brien, Bridgewater; grandchildren, June (Luanne), Matthew (Michelle), Amy (Patrick), Kari (Evan), Jason (Carol-Ann), Lori, Candice, Christopher, Kailey (C.J.), Johnathan (Jess), Ryan, Teri-Ann (Alex); great grandchildren, Caleb (Rebecca), Logan, Peyton, Nora, Elsie, Louie, Stella, Simon, Maddie, MacKenzie, Kherington, Maddox, Carter, Rhyleigh, Camryn, Theodore, Celeste & Harrison; great great grandsons, Sabestian & William.
Besides her parents, Marguerite was predeceased by first husband, James "Lawson" Brown; second husband, Roscoe Brown; sisters, Ethel, Patricia & Ella; brother, Karl.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2024, in Melvern Square United Baptist Church. Rev. Libby Amirault officiating. Interment will take place in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free: 1-855-825-3448.
