RUSSELL, Lester Ellison ~ Age 76, Falkland Ridge, Annapolis Co., born on July 19, 1942, died peacefully on February 24, 2019, at home. Born in Stanburne, Lunenburg Co., he was a son of the late Oswald and Alma (Joudrey) Russell. Lester had been a woodsman, first working with power saws and later as a machine operator. He enjoyed listening to country music on Saturday evenings and was a good friend to many. Lester enjoyed hunting, fishing and drinking beer with his buddies. Survived by his loving wife, the former Elaine Burgoyne; daughters, Ann (Richard), Sandra (Gerald), Dianne; son, Allan (Brenda); grandchildren, Brittany, Christopher, Brandan and Meagan; great granddaughter, Abigail; step grandson, Kyle; step great granddaughter, Leyah; several brothers and sisters. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by step grandson, Dustin. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Memorial service will take place at 3 p.m., Friday, March 1, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 902-825-3448, with Rev. Leon Langille officiating.
