Obituary

NIXON, Lewis Gerald ~ Age 77, of Nictaux West, Annapolis Co., passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Born on March 22, 1946, in Middleton, Annapolis Co., he was a son of the late Leonard W. and Winnifred P. (Illsley) Nixon.

Lewis was a faithful member of Wilmot Baptist Church and enjoyed going out to eat with friends, especially at his favourite restaurant, Angie's Family Restaurant in Middleton. He enjoyed going for coffee with the church group and going for long walks. Lewis had worked in the woods most of his life, and later worked in the apple orchard on the farm of David and Karen Chute in South Berwick.

Surviving are brothers, Robert Nixon (Betty Durling), Nictaux West; Charlie (Rowena) Nixon, Red Deer, Alberta; Lester (Connie) Nixon, Springfield, Oregon; sisters, Barbara (Gordon) Chute, Margaretsville; Eva West (Frank Haner), Mindemoya, Ontario; Phyllis (Wayne) Feltmate, Calgary, Alberta; Darlene (Ray) Trimble, Cochrane, Alberta; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 28, in Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, 1-855-825-3448.  Lic. Chris Wickens officiating, with a reception to follow. Interment will be in North Kingston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Kidney Foundation or charity of your choice.
