BLYNN, Lillian Phyllis 88 (born May 20, 1923 in Plympton Station, Digby County), died peacefully July 12, 2011 at Grand View Manor in Berwick. Phyllis was a resident of Grand View Manor for 26 years and her family wish to thank the staff for their excellent care and attention. A former resident of Middleton and North Range, Phyllis had a life-long interest in music and enjoyed playing the piano for local dance bands in her younger years and later to entertain her neighbours at The Manor. The last survivor of her immediate family, Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Hilarion (Harry) and Abbie Emma Blynn (nee Wagner), and by her sister, Doris, brothers, Arnold Raymond and Carl Lorin. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Frances (Gillis) Blynn, Paradise, and her nephew, Wayne (Josephine) Blynn, nieces, Wendy (Gordon) MacDonald and Cheryl Blynn and several cousins. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will be held at Grand View Manor, Berwick, 2:00PM, Tuesday, July 19th, with Chaplain Judith Saunders officiating. Interment will be in Old Holy Trinity Cemetery, Middleton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grand View Manor or a charity of your choice.
