Obituary

OTOOLE, Lillian Marie 74 of North Kingston passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born and raised on farm in North Kingston, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Ada Toole. Marie was a giver and server throughout her life. She studied in Calgary, Alberta and received her LPN license for nursing. She nursed in Berwick and Middleton for several years. Marie was a long time member of the Rebekah Lodge in Kingston and was a Past Noble Grand. She was a member of All Saints Anglican Church and served in many capacities including Lay reader. Marie was very creative and artistically inclined, having painted in oil and watercolors, selling many of her pieces across the country. She received an award for creating and painting the logo for a world church celebration and also created many beautiful ceramic items both useful and to appreciate. Surviving are her brother Theodore Ted (Brenda) OToole, Chezzetcook; sister Mabel (Ken) Saulnier, Yarmouth and best friend and partner Harry Folks; Aunts Grace (Jack) Ward and Loretta Hatt both of Middleton as well as several nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia and Ontario. She was predeceased by a brother Cecil Lloyd Junior Toole. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. A funeral service followed by a reception will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5th in All Saints Anglican Church, Kingston Rev. Matthew Sponagle officiating. Interment will be held in the North Kingston Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to All Saints Anglican Church, Kingston or to a charity of choice.
