Fletcher, Linda Marie ~ age 66 of Middleton, NS passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at home. Born in Middleton, she was a daughter of the late Ronald and Shirley "Peggy" (Lewis) Tompkins. Linda worked for many years at the Lands & Forest Nursery in Lawrencetown and later went to work at Britex. She enjoyed her flower gardens and loved taking trips to the beach. Linda loved spending time with her family and in the last couple of years she enjoyed adult colouring. She had an affectious smile and was a very generous person. Linda loved all her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Chris) Gray, Edmonton, AB; sisters, Ramona Tompkins, Saint John, NB; Julie LeBlanc (Steve Miller), Saint John, NB; Patsy (John) Anderson, Truro; Donna Lewis (Andrew Bent), Nictaux; Bev (Mark) Trahan, Lawrencetown; brother, Arthur (Patricia) Tompkins, Hampton, NS; grandchildren, Shay Bent, Halifax; Samantha Hunt, Digby; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Lilah, James, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Melissa Bent; son, Shawn Bent; brother, Harvey Tompkins and companion, Derek Parker. In keeping with Linda's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, April 14, 2024 in Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 01, Middleton with Joan Wagner officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Hampton Cemetery.
