SCOTNEY, Lindsay Delbert – age 73 died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, NS. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late, Delbert and Dorothy (Nixon) Scotney and stepmother Vera (Pinch) Scotney. Lindsay began working as a teen in his father's box factory in Weston. Later he became a heavy equipment operator, working for many years with the Department of Highways and G.K. Morse as a dozer operator. He enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking and keeping busy. Most of all he loved spending time with his family; he was a wonderful husband and father and will be greatly missed. Lindsay is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carol (Pinch) Scotney; children, Martin (Donna), New Ross; Sharon, Berwick; Susan Scotney – Hudson (Merle), Kentville; Laura Scotney-Kinsman (Gary), Grafton; Patrick (Donna Pope), Ontario; Heather Ann (William) Metzler, Arlington; DeAnna, Weston; Andrea, Halifax; siblings, Maurice Scotney, Berwick; Kenneth (Eva) Scotney, Ontario; Walter Scotney (Charlotte Melvin), Kingston, NS; Albert (Joan) Scotney, Weston; Corey (Joanne) Scotney, Aylesford; Danny (Kathy) Scotney, Berwick; Jeffery Scotney, Alberta; Norma (Hugh) Barteaux, Weston; Marie (William) Goucher, Round Hill; Elaine Misner, New Minas; Marlene (Tom) Walsh, Aylesford; nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation by request. There will be a graveside service 2:00 PM Saturday, June 17 at the Berwick Cemetery with Rev. Edgar Mitchell and Pastor David Hanson officiating.
