Lisa Leeann
Goudreau
March 29, 1966 – September 10, 2016
GOUDREAU (Morse), Lisa Leeann of Trenton, Ontario passed away peacefully September 10, 2016 at Trenton General Hospital with her family by her side. Born March 29, 1966 in Chatham, ON she was the daughter of June (Banks) Morse and the late Burton Piggot. As a young child she moved to Greenwood, NS where she became an "East Coast Girl" at heart. After graduating from Middleton Regional High School, Lisa took the Secretarial Program at Middleton Vocational School, which led to a position with Greenwood Credit Union. It was here she met the love of her life, Ghislain Goudreau, a nice young military fellow who swept her off her feet. Lisa joined the Kmart team in Greenwood upon its opening, as an office administrator in the cash office. With her love of numbers, she decided to continue her education with a Business Program at Kings Tech Community College, Kentville. In September 1992 she married her sweetheart and they moved to Trenton, Ontario in the summer of 1993. Once settled in her new life, Lisa again pursued her education and proudly achieved her Certified General Accountant designation. With a keen mind for business, she eventually became self-employed and opened Maritime Lobster Express, a fresh east coast seafood specialty store and shortly afterward, Kalays Fine Seafood Restaurant. With retirement plans approaching, she closed her business ventures and was currently employed as Comptroller at Stradacona Energy; a leader in Solar Energy. Over her lifetime Lisa touched many lives and will be fondly remembered for her pleasant smile and kind nature. Although she had been away from home for a long time, she maintained close ties with her family and friends in Nova Scotia, where her heart belonged. Lisa is survived by her loving husband Ghislain, Trenton, Ontario; parents June and Leslie Morse, Tremont, NS; brother Robin (Karen) Morse, Kingston, NS; nieces Emily and Rachel, Kingston, NS and numerous aunts and uncles. In keeping with Lisa's wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held 7:00 – 9:00 PM Sunday, September 18, 2016 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where a Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2016 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Private family interment will be in Tremont Cemetery. By request, family flowers only please.
