BENT, Lloyd Wilson - age 86, Moshers Corner, Annapolis Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in the Grand View Manor, Berwick surrounded by family. Born on February 16, 1929, in Moshers Corner, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Dorothy (Slocomb) Bent. Lloyd farmed all of his life, having taken over the family farm at an early age, and also worked off the farm trucking and as a carpenter. Lloyd loved farming and being outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing, and was an avid reader. Surviving are his beloved wife, Elizabeth "Betty" (Riordan) Bent, Grand View Manor, Berwick; sons, Stephen (Kim), Moshers Corner; George (Nancy), Dartmouth; Harold (Cheryl), Smithers, B.C.; Peter (Stacey), Spa Springs; Blair (Elaine), Berwick; grandchildren, David, Darrell (Jessica), Matthew, Katie, Amy, Sean, Robert, Jamie, Andrew, Connor, Bradley, Christopher, Emily, Matthew, Ellen, Claire; great-granddaughter, Gracie; sisters, Dorothy "Dot" Beals, Middleton; Barbara Appleby, Kentville; Lucy (Roger) Fowler, Middleton. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Malcolm "Mac" and Gilbert "Junior". Visitation will take place from 7-9 p.m., Thursday, in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, from where the funeral service followed by reception will take place at 2 p.m., Friday, August 28.
