Obituary

SMITH, Lloyd George ~ Age 87, South Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022 , in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on August 28, 1934, in Upper Hampstead, N.B., he was a son of the late George W. and Edna E. (DeLong) Smith. Lloyd had drove his own dump truck and had worked for Cossar Farm, while living in New Brunswick. He later worked at Sterling Farms. Lloyd had been employed with Thompson Transfer, Middleton for over 30 years, hauling furniture across Canada. He later delivered freight between Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, and spent winters working in the body shop.Surviving are his wife the former Gertrude M. Corkum; sons, David (Karla) Smith, Berwick; Donald (Tammy Crossland) Smith, Windermere; stepdaughter, Catherine (John Morris) Ward, Toronto, Ont.; grandchildren, Joel (Tracy) and Jennifer (Jason) Smith; Laura (Christian) Bauer; Samantha (Nick) Ward; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Quinn and Emmerich; brother, Donald "Don" (the late Jeanette) Smith; Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Harold Smith. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in Berwick Cemetery, at a later date.
