BOWERS (Spencer) Lori Lee ~ Age 49, of Halifax, formerly of Waterville, Kings Co., N.S., passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in Valley Hospice, Kentville. Born on September 10, 1976, in Berwick, she was a daughter of Malcolm S. and Donna A. (Corkum) Spencer, Waterville.
Lori was a proud graduate (1996) of Central Kings Rural High School, Cambridge and was a proud Gator until the end. She had worked as personal care worker for 13 years at New Visions Special Care Homes. Lori had been employed at Speedy Cash, Lower Sackville, where she had made life-long friends. She loved her beloved Annapolis Valley, and was happy to return there to be with family and friends. Lori was a social butterfly, enjoyed time spent with her animals. She loved music, movies, had a quick smile and was proud of her hair and nails. The last five years of Lori’s life saw her dream came true and she was able to be a mom.
The family would like to thank friends Natasha (Bill), Luanne, Jennifer, Kim, Suzie, Tammy as well Aunt Joyce, and Uncle Murray for being there and visiting Lori during her final days and staying with her until the end.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her son, Liam Carvery; sister, Stacey Stevens; niece, Olivia; nephew, Keagan, special friend, Bruce; many aunts, uncles and cousins who she loved dearly.
She was predeceased by grandparents, Robert and Helen Spencer; Lawrence Corkum and Marion Corkum-Forsythe.
All are welcome to attend a time in celebration of Lori’s life from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 4, in Waterville & District Volunteer Fire Department, 1415 County Home Road, Cambridge.
Donations in her memory may be made to Valley Hospice Foundation.
