REDDEN, Louis Paul born on September 13, 1925 in Port Williams, passed away in the Veteran's Unit of Soldiers Memorial Hospital on April 11, 2015. He was a son of the late Bernard and Ellen (Jackson) Redden formerly of Middleton. Louis was a veteran of the Second World War and served in the Royal Canadian Navy on several ships and bases in Canada and overseas. He made three trips with convoys to northern Russia and was subsequently awarded a commendation for his service. He later joined the RCAF and retired after 20 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 68 years the former Isabelle Allen, Middleton; daughter Linda (Patrick) Henry, Mosher's Corner; son John (Susan) Redden, Pickering, Ontario; five grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and brother, Walter Redden, Tantallon. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Charles and John. There will be no visitation by request. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Hillside Cemetery, Port George. For those who wish, donations in memory of Louis may be made to a charity of one's choice.
