GREENE, Louise Annie Ida ~ Louise passed away suddenly at home on October 21 ^st , 2018 at the age of 63. Born in Middleton on December 9 ^th , 1954, she was a daughter of the late Bernard Smith and Ruby (Mapplebeck) Smith. Loving wife of Allen Greene for 48 years. Louise was a loving mother and grandmother. Her family meant the world to her. She is survived by her mother Ruby Smith , Wilmot; her husband, Allen Greene; daughter, Heidi Greene, Greenwood; son, Harley (Tami) Greene, Lloyd Minster, AB; grandchildren Katherine (Hubert) Sullivan, Nfld; Payten and Jace Greene, Lloyd Minster, AB; sister Linda (Russell) Riles, Melvern Square; brothers Larry Smith, Mt Uniacke and Dale Smith, Victoriavale. Louise was predeceased by her father, Bernard Smith; mother and father-in-law Cora and Eugene Greene, as well as sister-in-law, Brenda (Larry) Smith. Louise was a lover of horses, dogs and all other furry critters. She will be missed by many people, especially her good friend Charlie Levy. She was on the Annapolis Valley Exhibition committee for many years. She was also a founding member and current President of the Annapolis Valley Harness Club. Louise and her husband, Allen were owners of Little Greene Farm where they raised and trained numerous Miniature Horses. Cremation has taken place and there will be a funeral service 2:30 pm, Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448 with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. A reception will follow at the Nictaux Fire Hall, all are welcome. Family flowers only, memorial donations in Louise's memory can be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
