It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Louise Evelyn Morse on Thursday, June 10 th , 2021 at the age of 98 as she went home to be with God and rejoin "Ron" John Ronald Morse, her husband of 64 unforgettable good years.  Born on March 30, 1923 in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Fred Lorne Palmer and Myrtle Ernestine (Parker) of Aylesford.  She will be remembered by her generous spirit, compassionate loving nature and gave kindness to all.  Devoted to her family, she took delight in the accomplishments, hopes and dreams of her daughter Judith (Judy) Smith and her husband Eric and cherished grandchildren – Cathy (Clint) Slaunwhite, Curt (Melissa) Himmelman and great grand children – Madisyn and Mason Himmelman.  Step grandson Craig and Lena Smith and great step grandsons - Yanis and Vitusz, and step grandson Kent and Sheryl Smith and step great grandson Bryce.  Predeceased by Son in Law John Himmelman and Husband Ron.  Louise and Ron began a lifelong loving partnership rooted in their joy and wonder at having found each other.  They were certainly soul mates.  Louise never forgot her little white bungalow in Kentville that Ron had promised to have built for her not too long after he had come home from the war.  They were always together through the years; they spent many a weekend in the summer travelling about and camping where they met lifelong good friends. Over the years Louise enjoyed her birds, boating, cats and never forgot their little miniature dachshund Penny Lou.  In 1940 she took grade 12 at Kings County Academy (KCA) in Kentville.  In 1941 went to Mack Business College where she graduated June 27, 1942.  After Mack Business College, Louise worked as a secretary for Dudley Packard (Accounting Firm), Kentville.  Then Louise worked for Spurr Fruit Company in Kingston.  She worked as secretary for The Nova Scotia Apple Marketing Board Limited in Kentville for a short period of time where she met her future husband who's home became her boarding place.  She married John Ronald Morse "Ron" July 31, 1946.  Louise and Ron became a resident of Kentville until 1955 when they returned to Alyesford with their daughter born Dec 7, 1948 for a short period of time.  Then became a residents of Middleton for 50 years.  In Mar 25, 2008 Louise and Ron moved to Orchard View Apartments, Grand View Manor, Berwick where Louise has been since Ron's death – Dec 25, 2010.  Louise has been an avid crossword and jigsaw enthusiast through the years.  A strong member of the Middleton Baptist Church.  Louise belonged to the sewing club there.  Not only did Louise enjoy sewing; but she did a lot of knitting, crocheting and rug hooking as well.  Louise had a passion for gardening.  She loved to have house plants as well.  There was no room to sit out on the terrace in Berwick for all the plants that were there.  Many a good and unforgettable card games have been played with Louise.  Louise, a loving mother, and grandmother spent a lifetime being very supportive of her family.  Her happiest moments were when she was surrounded by her family.  Thanks to Dr. Paul McGuire for all his special attention and those added years of care.  Blessings and thanks to Dr. Goddard and the staff of Orchard View Apartments and Grand View Manor, Berwick for their care and good sense of humour, which is so often needed to be given by the nurses.  Cremation has taken place and an internment will take place for family only at Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Salvation Army, or a charity of your choosing.  Online guestbook may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
