NIXON, Louise Isabel - 78, of Middleton, NS passed away peacefully Saturday, February 25, 2012 at home, surrounded by her family. Born in Toronto, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Elsie Wells. Louise was a retired school teacher, having taught in many different schools including the Yukon and Germany. She was a member of St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, Middleton and enjoyed travelling all over the world. Louise loved crocheting, enjoyed crafts and loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Blair; daughter, Jo-Ann (Ben) Gignac, Ottawa, ON; son, Brad (Dorinda) Nixon, Kingston, NS; sister, Peggy Dalpan, New Jersey, USA; brothers, Keith (Catherine) Wells and Kenneth (Marg) Wells, both of Dartmouth, NS; grandchildren, Shawn Matchett, Borden, ON; Greg Nixon, Barrie, ON; Vanessa (Steve) Thomson, Kingston, NS; great-grandchildren, Quinn Matchett, Maggie Matchett, Hailey Elizabeth Thomson and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by son Blaine in infancy. By request, there will be no visitation. Funeral mass, followed by a reception, will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, Middleton with Father Gerald Saulnier and Rev. Deacon Don Boudreau officiating. Cremation will follow the service and interment will be at a later date in St. Monica's Cemetery, Middleton.
