Obituary

SLAUENWHITE, Lowell St. Clair – age 95, of Greenwood, Kings Co., N.S., passed away November 26, 2017, at Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building, Halifax. Born in Branch LaHave, NS, he was the son of the late Urban Simeon and Vera Blanche (Rhodenhizer) Slauenwhite.  Lowell served in the RCAF for over 25 years, enjoyed woodworking, gardening and was a passionate reader and booklover all his life.  He will be remembered by his family as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  Lowell is survived by his daughters, Shirlene Greer, LaHave, NS, Karen Slauenwhite-Eldershaw, Dartmouth, NS; son, Kevin (Carol) Slauenwhite, Goulais River, ON; sister, Eleanor (Reid) DeLong, Bridgewater, NS; grandchildren, Ulo (Michelle) Greer, Lily (Marc) Meadows and Tristan Greer; great-grandchildren, Connall and Sage. Besides his parents, Lowell was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude Anna (Floden) Slauenwhite; brothers, Lawrence, Lester and Robert; and great-granddaughter, Marigold.  In keeping with Lowell's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.  Donations in Lowell's memory may be made to The Salvation Army.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448.  Online guestbook may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
