VEINOT, Lucy Marie - 93 of Berwick, formerly of South Nictaux, passed away April 28, 2024, in Grand View Manor, Berwick.  Born in Farmington, Lunenburg County, September 25, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Ada (Crouse) Hubley.

Lucy is survived by sons Dougald (Bonnie) and Lloyd, both of South Nictaux; grandchildren, Nathan (Sarah), Martock; Freda (Barry), Middleton; Angela (Brian), Spa Springs; great grandchildren, Aislyn and Michael Hathaway.

Lucy was predeceased by her loving husband, Bramer Veinot; two precious grandsons, Seth and Jody Veinot; sisters, Evangeline Wentzell (Leland), Bridgewater; Beulah Rafuse (Max), Parkdale, Lunenburg County; Marguerite Chliszczyk (Ron), Ontario; brothers, Paul Hubley, Halifax; Maurice Hubley, New Germany; Lester Hubley, Halifax area.

In her early days, Lucy taught school in Lunenburg County and Hants County.  She loved to travel and taught Sunday School and Bible study for many years, but Lucy's greatest accomplishment was being a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

The family would like to thank the staff of Grand View Manor for taking such good care of Lucy in her last years.  Also, Cindy, for being there when we couldn't.

By request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
