Obituary

MONTGOMERY, Maisie Millicent , went home to the Lord on December 29 th , 2020. She was the child of Ernest and Matilda (Bishop) Abbott. She was born on Peckford Island, NL on January 18, 1920. She came to Canada in 1944 as a war bride. Her home was in Middleton but for the last nine years she resided at Grace Haven. She dedicated her early married life to raising her girls and as they matured she took up curling and golfing as well as gardening. When grandchildren came this was a great joy to her; she loved being around them. Great grandchildren were so special to her, the first one arrived when she was 80! She always kept track of each of them and what interested them. The family would like to thank the staff of Grace Haven for all the love and care Mom received. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Langille, Brooklyn, Anna Co., Karen Montgonery, Middleton, her grandchildren, Rev. Derek Langille (Toni), Lower West Pubnico. Christy O'Neill (Mike) Centrelea, Amber Langille (Acel), Bridgetown, great grandchildren, Abbi and Zoe Langille; Dagen, Erin, Hayden and Brooklyn O'Neill. Many nieces and nephews, Montgomery's, and Abbott's plus! She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Frederick H. Montgomery, 2 infant children and son-in-law Paul C. Langille.
