SPROUL, Malcolm Ward ~ age 89 of Greenwood, NS passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown. Born March 9, 1930 he was a son of the late Edwin and Ruth (McCaul) Sproul. Malcolm worked with his father in fishery for a number of years. He joined the RCAF in 1953 – 1974, serving in Greenwood and Torbay, NL. He had a number of hobbies including building and flying model aircraft, restoring and showing antique cars, building a hovercraft and was a member of the gun club. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Apt); sons, Allan (Louise); Kevin (Maggie); Craig (Tina); grandchildren Teri, Melissa, Eric, Amanda, Halie, Shawna, Chris, Jeff and Tim; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson; nephews, nieces and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by beloved granddaughter Erin; brothers Elvin, Aldon, Tillman; sisters Helen Hamilton, Rosa Hamilton and Edith Herrick. Visitation will be held 6-8PM Tuesday, March 3, 2020 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where the funeral service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, March 4, 2020 with Rev. Dr. Christine Marie Gladu officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in North Kingston Cemetery.
