Manfred Harald Baecker passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026, at the Heart of the Valley Nursing Home.
Born in Kettwig, Germany, Manfred learned early in life to face both its joys and its challenges with strength and determinations. Work and responsibility were always important to him. After 25 years as a self-employed craftsman, he made the courageous decision to immigrate to Canada in search of new experiences and opportunities.
Together with his family, he found a wonderful new home, where he lived for 44 years and build a life marked by perseverance, commitment, and quiet strength.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Karin, his daughter Steffanie Baecker Dowell (Arnold), his grandchildren Nicholas and Benjamin and extended family and friends who will remember him with love and gratitude.
In accordance with his wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. Donations in memory of Manfred may be made to a charity of your choice.
He will deeply missed and forever remembered.
