Obituary

CORKUM, Margaret Mae ~ age 84 of Kingston, NS. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on Thursday, December 22, 2022 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville surrounded by her family. Born in Noranda, Quebec, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Barbara (VanTassell) Wilkins. Margaret was an associate member of both the Royal Canadian Legion in Kingston and Berwick. She was a member of the Kingston Baptist Church where she was involved with Single Seniors Luncheon for many years. Margaret was an avid gardener and loved her vegetable gardens. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters, Angela "Angie" (Myles) Whynot, Oxford, NS; Wendy (Doug) Jamieson, Richmond Settlement, NB; Lisa (Rob) Muraca, Kingston, NS; sons, George (Debra) Morgan, Moose Jaw, SK; John (Faye) Morgan, Chaplin, SK; Alan (Wanda) Morgan, Kingston, NS; sisters, Jean Potter, Annapolis, NS; Thelma (Earl) Wright, Virginia East, NS; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Harold; sister, Connie Wiles; brothers, Walter "Buster", Gary, Wayne, James and great grandson Evan Graham. Visitation will be held 6-8PM Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free 1-855-825-3448. Funeral service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in Kingston Baptist Church with Pastor David Hopper and Rev. Leon Langille officiating. A live webcast of the service will be available for viewing on the funeral home website beginning at 1:55 p.m. AST by selecting the "Live Stream" option at the top of the home page. Private family interment will be held in North Kingston Cemetery. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Valley Regional Hospital, especially the care and compassion she received in ICU and Medical B.
