We are saddened at the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Margaret Christina "Chris" Foster age 82 of Kingston, who passed away peacefully on April 28 th 2016 in Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Lower L'Ardoise on August 14, 1933 she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Peters) Bona. Mom was an awesome baker and made special treats for the grandchildren. Mom worked for Canex for 15 years and loved to dress up on special occasions. She was loved by all who knew her. "Nan" will be greatly missed by her five grandchildren who were her greatest passion – Christopher Lafleur, Toronto; Nicole (Lafleur) Rafuse, Harmony; Adam Foster, Mount Uniacke; Hilary Foster, Fredericton and Matthew Foster, Bedford. She is survived by her son Bernard James "Jim" (Kim) Foster of Mount Uniacke and daughter, Susan Foster (Doug Harrison), Kingston. Margaret also leaves behind her sister, Serena Lively, Sydney and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 50 years George "Bud" Foster and her daughter Lydia Stewart. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of the medical floor at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, your kind and caring ways will not be forgotten. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Queen of Heaven Chapel, 14 Wing Greenwood, with Father Rory MacDonald officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448.
