FRALICK, Margaret Elaine ~ Age 85, of Harbourville, Kings Co., passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, in Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville. Born on March 27, 1936, in Whites Corner, Kings Co., she was a daughter of the late Raymond E. and Laura E. (Gould) Mahar. In her early years, Margaret had worked in a hospital and at a government office in Halifax. She loved music, attending jam sessions and along with Bill was a member of Annapolis Valley Bluegrass & Old Time Music Association. Margaret enjoyed talking to people, playing cards and bingo. Margaret had helped in Bill's business by doing the books while he was out to sea. Surviving are her children, Darrell (Charlotte) Fralick, Cambridge; Evangeline "Vangie" (Cary) Swindell, Harbourville; Belinda (Greg) Hamilton, Harbourville; Gary (Jennifer Shankland) Fralick, Ontario; Laura (Glenn Morrison) Burke, Kentville; Shelly (David Keddy) Reid, Burlington; daughter-in-law, Debra Fralick, Prince Edward Island; grandchildren, Melini, Vanessa, Julia, Keri-Lynn, Jamie, Kenneth, Ambre, Jade, Troy, Mahalia and Dustin; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; brothers, Edward Mahar, Nictaux; Thomas (May) Mahar, Mississauga, Ont.; Vernon (Phyllis) Mahar, Morden; Patrick (Joanne) Mahar, Burlington; Michael Mahar, Cambridge; sister, Martha McKenzie, Winnipeg, Man.; sisters-in-law, Jennie Mahar, Garland; Joan and Viola Mahar, both of Ontario. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband and companion of 52 years, William F. "Bill" Olmstead; sons, Roland Edward Fralick in infancy and Raymond Fralick; son-in-law, Jim Reid; brothers, Daniel, Paul and Allison Mahar. There will be no visitation in the funeral home. A private graveside service took place at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 21, in Harbourville Cemetery, with Mr. Blaine Mahar officiating. A time in celebration of Margaret's life will be announced and take place at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to I.W.K.
