MARTIN, Margaret "Marge" ~ age 81 of Kingston, NS passed away December 16 ^th , 2019 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on April 29, 1938 in Toronto, ON, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Smith) Hall. Marge served as a Fighter Control Operator with the RCAF from 1956 until 1959. She married Melvin "Mel" Martin in 1958. Marge was a devoted member of Kingston United Baptist Church, where she served on many committees, including financial secretary for many years, on the Board of Management, as Deacon and all the various ladies groups. Surviving are her husband, Mel Martin; son Myles (Barbara) Martin, Haneytown, NB; half-sister, Judith Goode, Thornhill, ON; half-brother, Jim Goode, Amherstview, ON. Besides her parents, Marge was predeceased by her brother, John Hall. In keeping with Marge's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019 in the Kingston United Baptist Church, with Rev. Barbara Bishop officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the church hall. Interment will take place in the Paradise Cemetery in the spring.
