It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother Marguerite Oressa Drew at age 94. Marguerite was the last surviving member of  her immediate family. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Oressa (Weir) Tupper. She was predeceased by husband Stewart Sydney Drew, brothers Murray and Earl, sisters Evelina, Vera, Kathleen, Myrtle and Myrna and also by step-grandson Jamie Prall and son-in-law Robert Prall. She is survived by daughters Audrey (Ken) Brandt, Coaldale, AB., Sharon (Brian) Barteaux, Port George, LaVaughn Prall, Melvern Square; sons, Steven (Linda) Drew, Brickton and Larry (Valerie) Drew, Melvern Square. She is also survived by grandchildren, Tony, Vickie, Blaine, Shawn, Matt, Andy; step-grandchild Consuelo and numerous great-grandchildren. Marguerite was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She very much enjoyed cooking for her family, doing her embroidery and reading. She especially enjoyed working in her flower garden and going for walks. We wish to thank Dr. David MacKinnon for his many years of care. We also wish to thank the owners and staff of Grace Haven for making mom's last years as pleasant as possible and the staff of Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown, for making mom comfortable in her final days. In accordance with mom`s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be a family only graveside service at Port George cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448.
