Obituary

NIXON, Marguerite Pearl 95 of Middleton and formerly of Margaretsville passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Heart of The Valley Long Term Care Facility, Middleton. Born in Margaretsville, she was a daughter of the late Havelock and Gladys (Goucher) Hudgins. For a number of years, Marguerite and her husband Austin, drove the mail in the Margaretsville area. She enjoyed cooking, donuts being her specialty. Marguerite loved her family dearly and especially when they were all together. Surviving are daughters Winnifred Lightfoot, Wilmot and Marion Creelman, Melvern Square; sons Ralph (Doris), East Margaretsville and Everett (Peggy), Wilmot and sister Kathryn Reagh, Victoria Vale; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Austin; daughter Pauline Plachta; sister Gertrude; brothers Alden and Freddie; granddaughter Corinne and great granddaughter Caitlin. By request there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448, Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Interment will be in the Bayview Cemetery, East Margaretsville. By request, family flowers only.
