DAHR, Marianne Lynn ~ Age 64, of lnglisville, Annapolis Co., NS, passed away peacefully, with loved ones singing her Happy Birthday, at home on Sunday, September 1st, 2024, after fighting her battle of MS for 33 years.
She arrived in this world on this day in 1960 in Halifax, NS, to proud parents Gordon and the late Barbara (Westlake) Dahr.
Marianne loved the outdoors whether it was gardening, hiking, camping, car racing, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, or fishing. She enjoyed all types of crafts, especially scrapbooking. She also enjoyed singing and playing her guitar. She really loved playing games of all types (especially with her grandchildren). On her bucket list she wanted to see all the lighthouses in Nova Scotia... she had seen all on the mainland but didn't get to see them all in Cape Breton. She worked at Wades Grocery as Assistant Head Cashier in Kingston, NS and Returns Manager/Cashier at Home Hardware in Middleton, NS. She started her volunteering at 13 years old as a Candy Striper at Soldiers, Memorial Hospital in Middleton, NS, a Girl Guide Leader in Nictaux, NS for 14 years and was Secretary and President at her community hall in lnglisville, NS. She loved people and always had fun with everything she did. Her most precious and loving reward was her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are her common law spouse of 22 years, Patrick Guilbault, Inglisville; son, Aaron (Amber) Morse, Regina, SK; daughter, Ashley (Kent) Morse, Brickton, NS; father, Gordon Dahr, Nictaux, NS; four siblings, a granddaughter, four grandsons, and a great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her mother, Barbara and two infant sisters. A Celebration of Life will take place at lnglisville Community Hall, 1407 lnglisville Road, NS on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, from 12PM to 2 o'clock.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to Multiple Sclerosis Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448.
