Obituary

AMERO, Marie Cora, age 59 of Marshalltown, NS passed Sunday April 9, 2017 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Waldeck, NS she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Marguerite (Andrews) Wood. Marie volunteered at St. Mary's Baptist Church in Barton and was a Youth Leader there. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her grandchildren and her pets. Marie was a caring lady and always willing to lend a hand to everyone. She will be sadly missed by her partner Victor Morrell; daughters Stacy (Derek) Drew, Berwick; Tammy Amero, Marshalltown; sisters Marguerita "Sis" Wood, Marshalltown; Mary (Paul)Robicheau, Gilbert's Cove; Marlene Muise, Waldeck; Melinda (Michael) Cranton, Waldeck; brother Kenneth "Buzzy" Wood, Clementsport; grandchildren Makayla, Alex and Gage. Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by sister, Maxine Wood. There will be a visitation 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday, April 13, 2017 in the St. Mary's Bay Baptist Church, 8304 Hwy 101, Barton, from where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 14th with Rev. Lori Bertaux officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in the church hall. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home. 398 Main St., 902-825-3448.
