BENNETT, Marie "Vivian" - 86, of Mosher's Corner passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born October 13, 1927 in Hampton, Annapolis County, Vivian was the daughter of the late Perley and Arena (Foster) Milbury. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Vivian was a member of the Middleton United Pentecostal Church. She was a kind, caring person who loved her family so very much, always willing to listen, understand and offer a helping hand whenever she could. Vivian enjoyed visits and receiving phone calls from friends and family both near and far, especially her grandchildren. Nothing would bring a smile to her face quicker than to hear their voice on the other end of the line or to see them in person. She also enjoyed reading, doing both word and jigsaw puzzles, various crafts including knitting, rug hooking and quilting, playing crokinole, dominoes and a variety of card and board games and listening to gospel music. Vivian is survived by sons Robert and Henry, both of St. Catharines, ON; Lawrence (Esther), Mount Hanley; Douglas, Halifax; daughter Alice (Wayne) Whynott, Greenwood; 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Charles, sister Marion Chute, brother Lawrence Milbury, granddaughter Elizabeth Bennett and grandson Brian Bennett. Visitation will be held from 7-9 PM on Friday, March 14, 2014 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448. The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the United Pentecostal Church, 500 Main Street, Middleton with Rev. Dean Dickinson officiating. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Port George. Reception to follow at the Port George Regional Recreation Centre. By request, family flowers only.
