CROPLEY, Marie Elizabeth age 88 of Nictaux passed away suddenly Thursday, June 9, 2016 at home. Born in Canning, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Frances (Priest) Sherman. Marie worked for many years at Wynn's Grocery. Marie sang in the Nictaux Baptist Church choir, was superintendent and taught Sunday school for many years and served on the Nictaux Cemetery Committee. Marie loved playing cards and knitting.

She is survived by daughters, Dale (Donald) Roop, Nictaux and Vicki Cropley, Kingston; sons, Dwayne Sherman, Hanover, ON and Phillip Sherman, Nictaux; sister, Joyce Coleman, Nictaux and brothers, John Sherman and Donald Sherman (Sharon Acker) both of Nictaux; grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua (Kendra), Paul, Kim, Loretta and Jo-Ann; great grandchildren, Alexandria, Dylan and also expecting a third great grandchild; as well as good friend, Emery Durling, Springfield. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ross, son, Gary and sister, Thelma. By request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM, Monday, June 13, 2016 in the Nictaux Baptist Church with Rev. Bill McLeod officiating. Interment will be in the Nictaux Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Nictaux Cemetery, Canadian Cancer Society or the IWK Health Centre Foundation.
