Born in Saint Quentin, NB, she was the daughter of Arthur Deschenes and Rose Martin. At a young age her family moved to Quebec, where she lived the greater part of her life. Annette was predeceased by husband, Antoine Bastide, and upon his passing in 2015 she moved to the Annapolis Valley, NS. One of 24 siblings, Annette was a 'mom' well before her time. She always felt at home near the ocean, and LOVED seafood. One of her favourite spots to picnic was at the Port George ocean-side park. She loved to sit, watch the sunset and listen to the waves. Annette is survived by her three sons, Steve Loiselle, Jacques Loiselle (Hope Burke) and Michel Breton (Heather). She is also survived by her sisters, Nicole Deschenes (Michel Simard) and Lyse Deschenes (Andre Duval). Annette's grandchildren include, Jessica Loiselle (Louis Michel Proteau), Melissa Loiselle (Jean Robert Isabelle), Gabriel Loiselle (Moira Lemoine) and Janele Goodlad (Stuart). Annette loved that she was a great grandmother to nine beautiful children, Alycia, Anthony & Ashley-Rose Proteau, Derek & Rachel Isabelle, Kelsea & Madison Loiselle, Terence & Annette Goodlad and many nieces and nephews. Annette requested a quiet end of life, and her immediate family will gather to fulfill her wish. She gave her body to the Dalhousie University Science Department for research purposes, unfortunately due to pre-existing conditions she was not a viable candidate. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., toll free: 1-855-825-3448.
