MACDONALD, Marie Catherine - 89 of Kingston passed away peacefully Friday, June 5, 2015 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Antigonish she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Pelerine) Richards. Marie was a formerly employed of Sobey's as well as Eaton's Drug Store, Middleton. She was a devote Roman Catholic and a member of the Catholic Women's League (CWL). A very active member of the community, Marie was a member of Branch #98 Royal Canadian Legion, where she had served on various committees and was an avid cribbage player. She was also a member of Valley Wing #107 RCAFA, the Claymore Society and had served on the board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Marie is survived by her son Darrell (Dana) MacDonald, Greenwood; Two grandchildren Katelyn and Cameron and also beloved niece Dianne Feener, Kingston. She was predeceased by her husband Ronald; half-sister Faye Merritt; half-brothers Vincent, Leonard and Joseph. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday June 15, 2015 at Branch #98 Royal Canadian Legion, Kingston, followed by a reception. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Kingston.
