Obituary

Marilyn Elizabeth Chute – 82, of Kingston, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, January 22, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Ansel and Mary (Grant) Taylor.

Marilyn was an amazing lady who touched many lives with her heart of gold. Always willing to listen without passing judgement. She was generous to a fault, always willing to help a friend or neighbor. When she was younger, she loved to dance and her favorite hymn Amazing Grace. The Toronto Blue Jays were her favourite baseball team. Marilyn loved her family immensely, especially cooking family dinners on special occasions. She will be greatly missed.

Marilyn is survived by her companion, Wayne Verrette; sons, Glen Chute (Trina Price), Greenwood; Steve Caldwell (Sue), Grassland, AB; grandson, Wayne Caldwell, Edmonton AB; granddaughter, Paityn Frances Caldwell, Grassland, AB; great grandson, River Caldwell, Alberta; four step grandchildren; brothers Ivan Taylor, Greenwood; Danny Taylor (Wendy), Middleton; sister, Audrey Elmore (Rich), Bridgetown; several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Murray, Gerald, and John Taylor; nephews Murray and Johnnie Taylor, niece, Donna Taylor; sisters-in-law, Shirley Taylor, Josephine Taylor, and Marilyn Taylor; stepfather Bill Boates.
