Marilyn Sadie Hayes

HAYES (Keddy), Marilyn Sadie ~ 87, passed away peacefully at the Windsor Elms, Falmouth surrounded by family. Born in the Forties to Lloyd and Marion (Rafuse) Keddy. She enjoyed farming, the 4-H Club, and country life. After her marriage to Aubrey Cecil Hayes, they settled in Hantsport to raise their family. Marilyn loved gardening, quilting, playing cards, attending ox pulls and spending time with family and friends. She became a Continuing Care Assistant after the loss of her husband, dedicating her life to caring for others. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Aubrey; infant son, Aubrey Lawson; grandson, Ryan Barkhouse; and her brother, Wayne Keddy. Marilyn is survived by her children, Lloyd (Donna), Betty Anne Barkhouse (Bill), Carolyn Biggin (Dwane) and Karl (Holly); grandchildren, Alicia (Fred), Kaleb (Samantha), Dion (Ashley), Desiray, Felicity, Jeremy, Steven, Kailie (Mitchell), Jonathan (Emma), Jessica (Brandon), Connor, Morgan (Sophia); 18 great grandchildren; and her sister, Lucille Keddy. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Meadowview II at Windsor Elms for their compassionate care. Visitation will take place from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m., Sunday, June 14, in St. Augustine of Hippo Anglican Church, 1587 Forties Rd., the Forties, from where the funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Falen Atwood officiating. Reception in Forties Community Centre. Donations may be made to the Forties Community Centre.
