SANFORD, Marilyn Elizabeth ~ age 63 of Wilmot, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019 in Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Heather (Curley) Bowes. Marilyn worked for 26 years as an educational assistant at Aylesford Elementary School. She worked with special needs children, was a language interpreter and knew sign language. She loved being by the ocean and spoiling her grandchildren. Marilyn will be deeply missed by her husband, Donald; daughter, Tracy Sanford, Cambridge, NS; son, Jason (Kelly) Sanford, Raleigh, North Carolina; sisters, Karen Bowes, St. Thomas, ON; Darlene LaPointe, Bedford; brother, Sean Bowes, St. Thomas, ON; grandchildren, Noah Dempsey, Carly Dempsey and Petra Sanford. In keeping with Marilyn's wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. 902-825-3448.
