Marion Louise Brinton ~ age 77 of Lawrencetown, Annapolis County, lost her battle with cancer on January 27, 2025, at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Middleton.

Born in Middleton, NS on February 10, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Helen (Thurber) Brinton.

As a young woman, she worked on her father's egg farm in Paradise, NS and then did odd house cleaning jobs. She was employed with the Department of Lands and Forest at the Nursery for 16 years and at Grace Haven Nursing Home for 10 years.

She enjoyed going to bingo, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing cards. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and playing lob ball.

She is survived by her daughter, Marina Zwicker (Robert Clark), Terrace, BC; son, Michael (Heather) Charlton, Bear River, NS; grandchildren, Crystal and Clayton Devoe, Hannah and Avery Charlton; great grandchildren, Connor and Liam; stepchildren, David (Heather) Steadman, Bruce Steadman (Holly Connell), Janice Steadman, Ann Steadman (Steve Moore); stepson-in-law, Joseph Tidd; sister, Hilda Caldwell; brothers Richard, Ronnie (Sue), George; half-brother, Lester Jr.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her common law spouse, Orland Steadman, sisters, Delma Taylor and Avis Chute; stepdaughter, Vicki Tidd.

Many thanks to the doctors and nurses on the medical floor at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.

In keeping with Marion's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at the Fairview Cemetery, Lawrencetown, at a later date. Donations in memory of Marion may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
