Marion Arileen Rigby

Rigby, Marion Arileen ~ 94 of Kingston, NS passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. Born in Upper Brighton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rowena (Sharp) Ginson. Marion started her career working at BMO in Woodstock, NB. Leaving BMO, she moved around to many branches of CIBC including Comox, BC, Greenwood, NS, and Kingston, NS. Settling in Kingston, Marion attended the Fellowship Baptist Church. She enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting. Marion is survived by her daughters, Melody (Kevin) Armstrong, Calgary, AB; Kimberly Padova, Scarborough, ON; son, Brent Rigby, Stittsville, ON; grandchildren, Crystal Barkhouse (Dana Chipman), Nictaux, NS; Brandon Barkhouse, Calgary, AB; Kristina (Adrian) Vendrasco, Pickering, ON; Breanna Padova, Scarborough, ON; Sebastian Padova, Kingston, ON; Benjamin Rigby, Stittsville, ON; Lucas Rigby, Stittsville, ON; great grandchildren, Joshua, Nicholas, and Rachael; step-brother, Michael (Joan) Fogarty, Riverview, NB; step sister-in-law, Anna Fogarty, Lunenburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would also like to recognize Marion’s long-time friends, Lorraine Cook and Mary Hallett, and the late Marie Trimper for the friendship they have shown over many years. Besides her parents, Marion was predeceased by her husband, Robert Rigby; step-brother, David Fogarty. Visitation will take place 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, April 27, 2026, in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 1-855-825-3448, where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, with Rev. Ryan Skaling officiating. A reception will follow the service. Marion will be laid to rest beside her husband in Greenwood Cemetery, Hartland, NB at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026.
