Marion Lois
Ross
July 10, 1965 – November 16, 2022
ROSS, Marion Lois ~ it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marion Ross, age 57, of Kingston, Kings Co., N.S. Marion battled with early onset dementia-PCA and passed away peacefully in Valley Hospice, Kentville, on Thursday, November 16, 2022.
Born in Amherst, N.S., she was the daughter of the late George and Sandra (Archibald) Gould. Marion adored her animals and treated them like kids. You often found her out walking with her pal Cooper or snuggling with her cats with a fuzzy blanket. Family was everything to her and loved to carry on. Laughter was a big part of Marion and she always had to make sure you smiled. She volunteered with CAPS animal rescue for many years. Marion thought the world of her close friends and they know who they are.
She will be dearly missed by her beloved husband of 20 years, Wilfred Ross, Kingston, N.S.; sister, Julie (Steve Campbell) Ripley, Lower Sackville; nephew, Chase (Rebecca) Ripley, Halifax; niece, Taylor (Ronald) Carter, Mount Uniacke; nephew, Logan Sorenson, B.C.; two great nieces, Emersyn and Claire Carter, Mount Uniacke; mother in-law, Winnie Ross, Amherst; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Bill) Sorenson, Abbotsford, B.C. The family would like to say a special thank you to her caregivers, Karen Brannen (main caregiver) and Rebecca Thomas and the caring staff at the Valley Hospice. Special thanks to Margie Welin for her additional support over the years. Thanks to our neighbors Justin, Mike, and Pat for your "check ins" on Marion. Also thank you to Community Credit Union for your understanding during Marion's illness.
Interment will take place at a later date in Amherst Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448. Online guestbook may be signed, by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
