CAPES, Marjorie ~ age 92 of Harmony, NS, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020, in the Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Centre, Middleton. Born in North Wales, she was a daughter of the late Sidney and Ethel Maude (Alden-Brown) Bird.  The family moved from England to Canada in 1952, but in all those years, she never lost her English accent.   Marjorie was one of Jehovah's Witnesses her whole life and a member of the East Kingston congregation. One of her great joys in life was teaching people about the Bible and God's promises about the future. She loved being with people and enjoyed doing jig saw puzzles, knitting and quilting, afternoon tea and cookies, and cuddling with her dog. For several years she had VON workers come almost every day, and we lost count of the number of packs of SkipBo cards they went through during their afternoon visits. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.  A special thank you to the staff and caregivers at the Heart of the Valley nursing home who were so kind and made her feel so special.  She is survived by her daughter, Penny (Allan) Cross, Harmony and her grandson, Tony (Lisa) Cross, East Tremont.   Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank; sister, Joan and brother, Guy. In keeping with Marjorie's wishes, cremation has taken place.
