Obituary

CAREY, Marjorie Rita ~ age 87, of Margaretsville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 in the Heart of the Valley Long-Term Care Centre, Middleton.  Born in Moshers Corner, she was a daughter of the late Leslie and Margaret (Bent) Lewis.  Marjorie was a RCAF Veteran of the Korean War. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Margaretsville Baptist Church Ladies Guild. She enjoyed baking, knitting and gardening. She loved sunsets, the fog, and walking to the Bay and back every day. She will be deeply missed by her son Michael (Luisa) Carey, Philippines;  daughters, Deborah (Ron) Benda, Sand Lake; Marlene Prall (Paul Soucy), South Farmington; Joyce Johnson, Kingston; sisters Charlotte Aalders, Dartmouth; Mildred Payson, Kentville; brother, Reginald (Pat) Lewis, Halifax; grandchildren, Shauna, Bradley, Deanna, Johnathan, Melissa and Lara; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Mitchell, Alex, Skyler and Matteo; and great-great-grandchildren, Jacob and Emily. Besides her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; sisters, Madeline, Kathleen and brother, Ronald.  A private family graveside service will be held in the Bay View Cemetery, Margaretsville with Pastor Leon Langille officiating. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Heart of the Valley for the special care they provided to their mother.
