CHUTE, Marjorie P. ~ of Chester/ Bridgewater, NS, formerly of Melvern Square, passed away peacefully at Shoreham Village Nursing Home, Chester, on September 13, 2024, at the age of 96. Born in Harmony, Kings County, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Nina Morse. Marjorie loved her Lord, her family and her community which she willingly and faithfully served over many years. Marjorie worked closely with her husband, Donald on their farm as a certified strawberry plant producer and apple grower. She spent many happy hours doing crafts, creating beautiful quilts, paper tole, needle point and knitting. In later years, Marjorie moved to Drumlin Hills Seniors Home, Bridgewater where she enjoyed the company of many folks and enjoyed a good game of cards, and shopping. She spent her final years at Shoreham Village Nursing Home, Chester NS under the caring and watchful eyes of the loving staff there. Survived by her son, Darrell (Iris) of Greenwood; daughter, Sandra (Paul) Casey of Bridgewater; grandchildren, Pam (Rob) MacGillvray of Lower Sackville; Tracy Chute of Germany; Cindy Chute ofSpryfield; Joel (Alanna) Comeau of High River, Alberta and Jill (Korey) Taylor of Hammonds Plains NS; great grandchildren, Jack and Katie Taylor and Vanessa MacGillvray. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald; and brothers, Lloyd, Bertram and Harold. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, September 20, 2024, in the Melvern Square United Baptist Church, Pastor Paula Davidson officiating. Interment will be in Church Grove Cemetery, Melvern Square.
